Weekly Colt

Hard to fathom life before Colt.

He's made us all happier than we knew we could be...Daddy, Lila, Lincoln and me.

I wrestle every day with mama-guilt.
Did I do enough?
Did I recognize all of children's individual needs?
Did I have meaningful one-on-one time with all 3?
Did my scary mom voice get used too much?
Was I patient enough?
Kind enough?
Did I provide enough creative experiences?
Did we go outside enough?
Did I show all the turds just exactly how much I love them all?
Did I make them each feel as special as they are?

What I do know for sure is you were enough for me Colt.
Just like your precious sis + bud, you fill me with joy beyond what should be allowed.

Colt, you made life full when you became a Swisher just 28 weeks ago.

And I have never looked back!

A Good Weekend

We had a mighty good weekend.
Filled full with a visit from my folks, some sunshine + adventure.

We had some craziness here the past couple of weeks so it felt especially nice to relax with our peeps.

Digging.  Always digging.

Ferry rides are always a personal fave.
Colt's first one too!

Lila took a big spill on her bike today.
Ate gravel.
Literally.
One we washed it out of her mouth, blew it out of her nose, wiped it off her cheek and picked each piece out of her chin and lips she hopped back on her bike again.
Definitely a proud mama moment.

I mean!

Dimply dude with Gram.

I mean! (Again)

Bedtime at the Swishers.

Girlfriend, Turn Your Wipers On

Our precious Lila Pearl is a big ball of awesomeness.

Yesterday when I was driving home from school, it started to rain. (For the love!)  Anyway, it was pretty light and I hadn't yet felt the need to wipe the drops from my windshield until Sissy piped up from the back seat:

'Girlfriend, turn your wipers on!'

I mean.

After I did, she proceeded to tell me that was MUCH BETTER.  Now I could drive her more safely.

How can you not love this chick?!

The point of this post however is to just document that today Lila learned how to tie her shoes.

Smarty Pants.

Tomorrow she is wearing Lincoln's shoes to school because his have laces.

How did she get so big?
In my mind she still is my baby.
Tonight she + I took a tub together and I savored every single minute of it.

My girl.

Six!

Oh, Colt.
Six dreamy months.
I often get asked just how hard is it having 3 kids.

I had twins first people!!!
