December Daily #27

Christmas holiday survivors.

Hanging out with my favorite dude.
Dusted off the Wii this week and we are currently in an epic bowling battle.
B talks so much trash to computers.
They always cheat him.

Love quiet nights like this.
Dishwasher running, the house is clean, laundry put away, bellies full...
living the dream.

It's not fancy by any means, it's just us.

December Daily #26

I just put the kids to bed.
Ahhhhhhh.
And now I am relaxing with a glass of hot tea with the tree lights on.

The Christmas hangover was in full effect today.

We had a home day today.
Playing with the new toys, putting everything away, cleaning, organizing,
relaxing, laundry, crock-potting type of day.

The kids are a little run down, fighting off colds and a certain pretty little thing
was a bit whinier than usual.

Home was the perfect place to be today.

Tis' the season!

We got a little package from our California cousins.

Holy Moses the joy it brought!

I know these pics aren't the greatest, but the smiles are irreplaceable.

I just love receiving Christmas cards.
 Do you?
Lincoln and Lila stare at the wall of the people we love all the live long day.

December Daily #18

The day every Swisher in this house waits for all year....
B is on vacation until after the new year!
It also happens to coincide with the day he finds his Christmas jolly.
Coincidence, I think not.
{Sorry for the Instagram duplicate, but this is my favorite thing from today.}

{Minus one with a diaper situation.}

These are certainly 2 of the twins favorite dudes.

December Daily #15

Went to our town's lighted boat parade tonight.
Living in a harbor town has its perks.
Here are a couple of the boats.

This is the Gig Harbor tree.
She's a beaut.
And our town has a nativity!
Can you believe that?

Yet another reason Gig Harbor rules.

Teaching Lila how to mend.
We are threading a needle.
She's such a gem.

The twins had a snow covered package delivered from the North Pole today.

Also, Lincoln + Lila have one of the greatest dads ever.

December Daily #12

I walked around like this for a while today.
You're welcome.

A little Christmas present from me to you, from Kelsey, originally from me.
Does that make sense?
Make this in your crock.
I've made it 2 times in the last two weeks.
(I just use it as taco filling.)
Today I added 'shrooms as well.
Healthy. Check.  Vegetarian. Check.  Real Food.  Check.
Delicious. You know it.

Today at Costco.
(Excuse the funny faces.)

3 years ago at Costco.
Miss these baby faces.

A little Rihanna dance off before bed.

December Daily #11

Every single time I sit down, this happens.
I'm not complaining...we are a very cuddly family.
But I have to be honest, the 2 rather large 3 year olds,
plus the Jezzy machine all fighting for space on my lap is becoming a little more uncomfortable.

But I allow it to happen every time.
Because someday they will be too big.
Ugh.
And perhaps, someday they won't even want to.
Double ugh.
Until then, this is how we roll.

I made a little Christmas present for Brian today.
I do hope he likes it.

Tonight we decorated our gingerbread trees.
Well Lincoln just ate the candy mostly.
I'm quite certain all he saw was the candy + frosting and was completely unaware of the decorating.

We got a package today.
Did I mention I love Christmas???
I remember getting wrapped Christmas presents in the mail from my long distance grandparents.
They always even smelled like them.
Some very special Christmas memories indeed.

Sis did a beautiful job on her tree.
Obviously she took it very seriously.

Linc's finished project.
Notice A LOT less candy?!

On a completely random note, can any parent of young children please explain to me,
WHY IN THE WORLD IS DORA YELLING ALL THE TIME?!?!
