Irony

Funny that my blog is called SeattleSwishers because, truth be told, we have never really lived in Seattle.

Near Seattle, yes...
in Seattle, nope.

And now, well now the blog name is really going to seem strange.

Because the Seattle Swishers, (by way of Gig Harbor), are now going to be the
San Diego Swishers.

Brian has accepted a new position with a new company in sunny San Diego.

And we are so excited.

Everything is changing around these parts.
And fast.
Over the past several weeks our lives have been completely flipped upside down.

(You all remember we have a 7 month old baby at home too, right?!)

Anyway, our house was listed on the market last week,
Brian is flying down to find us a new place this week,
his last day of his current job is next week
and we will be taking this circus down to Cali in a few short weeks.

Please, you don't need to remind us of all the things we will miss about the PAC NW.

We love this place and have lived life to the fullest here for the past 15 years together.

And we have family here, so we will be back.
Plus Brian's girlfriend Rainier, she's a jealous lady,
and we will have to check in with her from time to time.

But our future is bright friends...
as in SUNNY!

And I'm so proud of Brian.
I could swoon all over this blog about how great he is.
I have watched that big dude that I love carefully praying and mulling over these big decisions.
He has sought out advice from trusted friends and family
and humbly asked for prayer as we have had to make some of the biggest decisions in our marriage.

Brian and I have dreamed of an adventure for ourselves and our family for years.
We didn't know what it would look like, but we were certainly open to it.

If you happen to think about us, would ya mind saying a little prayer for our family.
You know, just pray for stuff like peace, wisdom, that would could sell and find our next home, that we get all the way down to SD without harming one another or our crazy dog...
just that all the pieces will fall into place.

And if we ever find a home, our door is always open.

San Diego is beautiful
this  EVERY time of year.
