Family
For Valentines Day Brian bought me a new computer.
I walked downstairs and saw my surprise in the office.
So we took a family photo that morning, with bed heads and all.
I found this today and it made me so happy.
When you are making humongous life changes,
you kinda get a Kumbaya feeling, that as long as we're together,
everything will be alright.
I've been feeling that a lot lately.
These are my people.
And when we are together...
no matter where,
life is good.
Really, really good.

Irony
Funny that my blog is called SeattleSwishers because, truth be told, we have never really lived in Seattle.
Near Seattle, yes...
in Seattle, nope.
And now, well now the blog name is really going to seem strange.
Because the Seattle Swishers, (by way of Gig Harbor), are now going to be the
San Diego Swishers.
Brian has accepted a new position with a new company in sunny San Diego.
And we are so excited.
Everything is changing around these parts.
And fast.
Over the past several weeks our lives have been completely flipped upside down.
(You all remember we have a 7 month old baby at home too, right?!)
Anyway, our house was listed on the market last week,
Brian is flying down to find us a new place this week,
his last day of his current job is next week
Brian is flying down to find us a new place this week,
his last day of his current job is next week
and we will be taking this circus down to Cali in a few short weeks.
Please, you don't need to remind us of all the things we will miss about the PAC NW.
We love this place and have lived life to the fullest here for the past 15 years together.
And we have family here, so we will be back.
Plus Brian's girlfriend Rainier, she's a jealous lady,
and we will have to check in with her from time to time.
But our future is bright friends...
as in SUNNY!
And I'm so proud of Brian.
I could swoon all over this blog about how great he is.
I have watched that big dude that I love carefully praying and mulling over these big decisions.
He has sought out advice from trusted friends and family
and humbly asked for prayer as we have had to make some of the biggest decisions in our marriage.

Brian and I have dreamed of an adventure for ourselves and our family for years.
We didn't know what it would look like, but we were certainly open to it.
If you happen to think about us, would ya mind saying a little prayer for our family.
You know, just pray for stuff like peace, wisdom, that would could sell and find our next home, that we get all the way down to SD without harming one another or our crazy dog...
just that all the pieces will fall into place.
And if we ever find a home, our door is always open.
San Diego is beautiful
this EVERY time of year.

Hello Weekend!
Life has been a little crazy around here the past couple of weeks.
(Which is a gross understatement.)
But here are a couple of pics of some of the things that made my week swell.
I turned 35 on Wednesday.
I had an apt with the eye doctor. I went in thinking I was going to amaze her with my perfect vision...
I walked out with a pair of glasses.
C'mon!
Then Brian took our sweet little family of 5 out for pizza at the local brewery for my special day.
And Colt spilled (a humongous) glass of ice water all over me before dinner began.
I was drenched. Pants soaked. Shoes soaked. Underwear soaked.
Freezing.
But we stayed and (tried to) laugh at what a hot mess our beautiful little family is.
Life is interesting with young children.
Never dull, never predictable and always exciting.
I'm so thankful for this beautifully messy life we have.
I wouldn't have it any other way.

Weekly Colt
2 teeth.
Pulling up to stand all-the-time.
And then letting go to see how long you can balance.
Curious.
Mama's boy.
Bumps and bruises on your dome.
Happy.
What you have in adorable-ness, you lack in sleeping through the night!
Bumbo seats, play mats, baby swings, bouncy chairs... You will have none of that!
You're a dude on the go!
There is no stopping you.
I don't know where you headed little
man, but I'm going with you.
That's for sure.

All The Things That Ache
Back,
(Upper + lower)
Shoulders,
Knees,
Wrists,
Arms,
and
Hips.
These are the parts of my body that ache from carrying my baby boy all the live-long day.
The baby aches.
I kinda remembered that this happens. But whoa, it hurts.
Quads,
Butt,
Hamstrings,
And
Calves.
These are all the parts of my body that ache from racing the twins on foot, scooter and bike up the hill yesterday.
Over and over and over again.
But man, was it fun!
Worth every ache and pain times a thousand.
Send wine + ib profin ASAP.
