Well folks--we've wanted to do it since they were a-growin in my big ole' belly. And today we did it. We took Lila + Lincoln to a Mariners game. Ok, so we took Lila + Lincoln to part of a Mariners game. We actually lasted 4 1/2 innings in our seats...which is about 3 1/2 more than I ever expected. They clapped, danced, flirted and shouted 'Goooooo!' It was really adorable. We walked all around the park, but especially loved the fountains. They were asleep about 15 seconds after they were loaded in the car. And Brian + I will be asleep shortly.

Genetics
Genetics are a funny thing. An amazing, incredible and funny thing. It's always interesting to hear who people think our twins look like. As the mama + daddy of this mess, we have a harder time seeing all of this. Of course we hear many different answers. The consensus seems to be--da, da, daaaaaa--Lincoln tends to look a little more like me at this point and Lila tends to look a little more like Brian. Are you ready for the strange part??? When they are sleeping, Lincoln tends to look more like Brian and Lila more like me. Of course, (THANK GOD), neither of them are looking exactly like us...and we are super-glad about that!

Water Babies
Hello sunshine + warmth! The Swishers have missed you so. While hanging in Cali with the fam, we had several opportunities to play in the water. And the twins loved it! We could barely drag Lincoln out of the pool. They both loved playing with the water from the hose and dancing in the puddles. They were not afraid in the least. I didn't think there could be a more adorable sight than toddlers in their jammies--but, toddlers in swimming suits are pretty darn close. Check it!

Home
About a month ago Brian + I decided to try to sell our house. It just felt like the right time to us for various reasons. The only problem--we didn't know what was next for Team Swish. We thought in this market it could take a verrrrry long time to sell, if at all. And if it didn't sell, well that was easy--we love this house, and would stay for a few more years. Well wouldn't you know it, the day we leave for a 10 day vacation it sells. And just like that we are about 30 days from leaving this house we made our home. Our home for 6 years. We built this place. We loved in this place. We brought our babies into this home. It will forever be like a little treasure box full of memories for us.
And as for what's next....we have no freaking idea! Scary??? For sure. Exciting??? Absolutely. So if I am hard to reach over the next few weeks, please understand that my life is about ready to flip completely upside down. And I'm okay with that.
And if you have any boxes, be sure to send them my way!

Friday=Funday
Today was a good day. (Just rapped that in my best Ice Cube voice.) My mom has been hanging with us all week. All rainy week. But today, today the sun was shining. It was cold this morning, but we decided to take advantage of the sunshine and head to the zoo. Lila + Lincoln loved the zoo. We saw monkeys + elephants + walrus' O' My. And then we played in the Kids Zone. It was a blast, and so nice to have some help on this adventure. When we came home, we played in the backyard and ate Popsicles. I live for days like this. I'm pooped after days like this.
Tomorrow we are off to Cali for a week with my fam. Lucca-lay-lee needs to see her Tia, and I'm ready for some sunshine + sissy time.

Adorableness
Ok so the last time I played Words With Friends, I'm pretty sure adorableness wasn't really a word. BUT if Noah Webster, or any of his modern day dictionary-word-picking-peeps saw my little monsters right before bedtime, I'm convinced, adorableness would be included in next years addition.

Conversations With My Mom
Me: 'Mom, why don't you go down lay down + relax for a while.'
Mom: 'I can't relax, there is too much to do.'
Me: 'Mother! You are on vacation, go relax.'
Mom: 'This doesn't feel like vacation, it feels like a missions trip.'

What A Chick!
Lila is such a chick. Such a girly-girl. Such a sweetheart. She is a tender-hearted little beauty. Our little lady loves wearing hats + sunglasses, talking on her phone, dancing, eating, snuggling, watching mama cook and screaming. She is every reason we always dreamed of having a daughter. She is our little Pearl.
