Checking In

We're baaackkk! We had an amazing 2 weeks in California. A. Maze. Ing. San Diego was what San Diego always is....perfect. It is definitely one of our favorite cities, so you can imagine how excited we were to introduce our little loves to a place we adore so much.

And then we got to hang out in Folsom with the fam. My sis and Lucca came over and we had a blast. These 3 totally-toddlers get along so well. Amazingly well. I could hear Coco wake up in the morning and start asking for Lila right away. A-dorable. We took our kids to Apple Hill, which is a can't-miss Sacramento fall tradition. It was what I hoped it would be...fabulous. It is definitely fulfulling creating new memories with my children, at the places in my hometown where my own childhood memories were made.

So now that we are back-- I'll be back to blah, blah, blogging regularly.

Where did all these kids come from???

...And Today???

I had to take Lila up to the hospital today for a follow-up appointment for a no-big-deal issue. While making the drive, I turned around to find both twins laughing + dancing to a little old school MJ 'The Way You Make Me Feel.' Made. My. Day.

What Made My Day Today???

My day was made today by an unsolicited 'Bless You Mama' from my Pearl after I sneezed.

It's the little things people!

Totally Toddlers

Lila + Lincoln are totally toddlers. Curious, talking, exploring, figuring things out, pushing the boundries and testing the limits. My goodness, is it fun. My goodness, is it exhausting. Timeouts are in effect. Fake crying is being mastered. Snuggles are abundant. Laughter is constant. Dirt is everywhere. (Fingerprints too!) And the volume in our house is growing.

I'm thankful for these 2 healthy turd-toddlers. So, so thankful. Blessed to married to a super-stud who is one of the most hands-on daddys ever. EVER! And very thankful for our daily routine. Their regular naps and set bedtime have been lifesavers for this little family with twins. I often get asked how do you do it with twins?!? How does any mom do it really? Any child is a ton of work. But for us, routine is the key. And our amazing sleepers and early bedtime are awesome! Gives us just enough of a break to do it all again the next day.
