Surprise!!!

It was Father's day of 2008 that Karla and I found out that we were going to be parents for the first time.  Now, this was a great news, but nothing could compare to what was going to happen next.  We went to the physician to take a blood test to ensure that in fact we were actually pregnant, and received a call later that afternoon with the diagnosis.  The office mentioned that Karla's HCG levels were very high and we both became alarmed. So like all of you now, we asked "What in the heck is an HCG level and why would it be high?"  High levels could mean a greater possibility of having MULTIPLES?!?!  The nurse continued to tell us that Karla's levels were through the roof and we need to schedule an ultrasound see what was cooking.   Ultrasound scheduled, and we very clearly see that we were on our way to becoming parents of not one baby, but two!  (Brian's reaction: JOY, Karla's reaction: SILENCE)

Fast forward from there and we are now doing what every new set of parents does...we are starting a blog to write about, post pictures, and share all of our crazy family moments with those around us who will actually care.  Here is our story of the beginning of our family, we hope you enjoy and thanks for stopping by.
