December Daily #17

Happy Holidaze!

We have had our butts absolutely kicked by illness this past week.

Which is never in the plans.

Various members of our family have visited the doctor a total of 5 times in the past 6 days.

Colt has a 'raging' ear infection.  

Covered in snot, unable to breathe, hoarse from drainage, doped up + still cute as can be.

Big news people!

I have passed my written California state drivers license test!!

With this pass it brings my lifetime written drivers test record to 4-3.  

(4 failed, 3 passes.)

Whoop!

Can't stop me now!

Lila helped put a sick, snoozy Colt to sleep today.

Oh, how things have changed in the past 6 months!

Do you see my crew bundled up sitting in front of the space heater???

Yep, it was 64 today.

Brrrrrrr!

B + I would've laughed so hard at us this time last year, BUT to be fair, bodies just adjust.  

And warm weather adjustments feel real good.

Just ask my big guy next time you see him.

Today was a home day. 

All Swishers sick.

Ugh.

Jammies, football, naps, cleaning, Tylenol, nose spray, present wrapping, etc.

Oh, and this moment when B showed the kids Mariah Carrey singing 'All I Want for Christmas' from Fallon last year.

Knock, knock!  

Every single day.

Do you travel for Christmas?!

It. Is. So. Much. Work.

We went to the Nutcracker ballet in San Diego today with some good friends.

Colty + Yiya this afternoon.

Colt has pretty much been obsessed with Lincoln from the beginning.  He loves to watch him and play with him and wrestle and tease and on and on.  Anything to do with Lincoln...Colt is in.

And Lincoln, 'Kin-kon', is the best brother.  

So patient.  

So loving. 

So gentle. 

The greatest 5 year old sharer of all time in fact!

Their bond is undeniable.

Over the past couple of months, Lila + Colt have found their groove.  

She adores this dude.  

And he adores her back.

She's caring + nurturing + teaching just might be in her bones.

They are silly and hilarious when they play. 

She is his 2nd mom.

I honestly couldn't get half the things done that I need to if it wasn't for Lila's constant willingness to help!

And I just love watching them together.
