Swimming

We started swim classes this week. High-larious and oh, so fun! The twins love it. They might be the happiest little swimmers in the history of forever. No kidding. They squeal, laugh, smile and wiggle with excitement. They do all the tasks the teacher asks and just want to stay in the water all night. Poor little Lincoln begrudgingly has to be done when his lips go from freezing cold purple to ice-cold blue. What a turd!

{Check out our You Tube channel for a little clip of the swimmers.}

The Bridge

We decided on New Years Day to take a walk over the Narrows Bridge. We have been intending to do this since we moved to the Harbor in the summer. It was a sunny, but freezing day. Most people were probably still hung over from the night before, so the traffic was super-light. We saw boats, divers, seals, tons of birds and the most gorgeous view of, {Brian's girlfriend}, Rainier. Mt. Rainier that is. We will definitely be biking over this bridge a lot this summer.

I love that when we drive over this bridge, we all know that our home is just minutes away.

Baller

I'm just saying, perhaps the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. The best is when our little 1 year stud yells, POWER DUNK, while he's doing it.

He's a keeper.

Oh, Sissy

We survived the first object stuck in the nostril today.

The lucky twin was....

Lila Pearl!

Lincoln took his sisters necklace, pulled it just as far as it would go--and snap! Beads everywhere. In 1.5 seconds, Lila picked up a shiny white bead, and immediately placed it inside her nostril.

Because who wouldn't do that???

I couldn't reach it right away. But I just pinched her nose so she wouldn't suck it up and tried to smash/push it right on out. And what do you know, it finally popped right out!

What a turd.

What a Pearl.

Good Times

Today. Oh, man today...

As we were leaving Target, {in the rain}, my hands full of bags and I had Lincoln holding my hand and Lila holding his. She didn't want to hold mine, just 'Buddy-Bingo's' hand. Lincoln falls face down in a puddle right in the middle of the road. Crying. I thrust him up on my hip while pulling Lila close by the hood of her jacket. (Lots of traffic.) She starts crying because DUH!, she doesn't want to hold my hand. Then both of these turds want to climb in the car themselves, STILL RAINING PEOPLE, and want to drive the car. Hello, NO! More crying. BOTH refuse to be put in their seats. Louder crying, People staring. STILL RAINING. Lila flailing. Lincoln dirty and wet and crying. Scratch that, screaming. Not pretty. Not pretty at all.

Just thought I should let you all know that these moments happen here at Casa Swish. Oh man, do these things happen.

My Girl

My sweet Lila Pearl named her 2 new baby dolls...

KARLA

+

CALIFORNIA

No joke people. There was absolutely no prompting from us other than 'what is this baby's name?' And now it's all Karla + California around here all the time.

Man, I love this girl.
