Teething/Death Biscuits

So blog posts have been slow the past several weeks, but I've got a good reason. Rus + Kels + Lucca have been staying with us...for almost A MONTH. (Rustin is editing a commercial in Seattle and they have spoiled us with an extra-long visit.) During the day when the dudes are busting tail at work, so we can stay at home with our babies, Kelsey + I lay on the couch and eat bon-bons. Being at home all day with 3 babies is a piece of cake.

So today we had the idea of trying teething biscuits with my teething babies. They were LOVING those things until I noticed that the Linc-man's biscuit was missing the entire top. Ooops! I watched him as he calmly chewed and chewed. He then proceeded to calmly start coughing. At this point I'm beginning to freak out a bit. I pick him up to lay him face down, and he starts turning RED. I whack him extra hard and see that darn biscuit shoot into his mouth and I sweep it out. Yeah, I pretty much saved his life! So no more death biscuits for the babies for a little while. Although I think Lincoln and I were quite entertaining to Lila.

Here is a picture of the Swishees prior to our exciting ordeal.

Now You See Me...

...and now you don't. Take a good look at the Linc-man sitting still:
Did you do it??? Good, because this dude is ready to go. He goes right to his tummy now because he is sooooo close to crawling. We mastered the roll, the scoot, the slide, the rock and now we are ready for CRAWLING. If he could just get that second knee to go forward. He also pulled himself up for the first time yesterday. Papa Swish says it sounds just like daddy. Speaking of Papa Swish, did you know Lincoln was named after that guy too. Our boy was named after two very cool people, so he has some mighty big shoes to fill.

7 Month Pics

Here are the 7 month pix I promised. Enjoy!

What Up Cuz?

We were spoiled with a CHAOS visit this past week. Crazy Uncle Rus had to go make bread so Lucca doesn't have to go to junior college, but Kels + Coco got to hang with us all week. It is pretty incredible hanging out with three babies...kinda feels like the church nursery. We kept asking them where they all came from. We had a blast, and are looking forward to the next adventure in Hawaii, which is less than 3 weeks away. Look out Alaska Airlines, we will all be on the same plane.

Mr. + Ms. Personality

Nope not Brian and I, Mr. + Ms. Personality would be the babies formally known as Uno + Dos. Yes it is true, our babies are now 7 months old. 7 MONTHS OLD! I mean seriously, can we slow down time just a little bit here. Everyone always says 'it goes by in a blink of an eye', and/or 'enjoy it now because it's over before you know it' ....blah, blah, blah. Well let me say, we have enjoyed every minute and it still goes by too fast. Damnit! (Sorry mom.)

Well here is the latest about our babies...

Lila is our Pearl-girl. She is just sweetness through and through. This little lady sleeps 10-11 hours regularly, she eats like a champ and continues to be a cuddle bug. When she sees us walk in room her whole body shakes with excitement. She is a chatterbox and is making all kinds of beautiful noises and sounds. She especially loves bah, bah, bah and blowing air through her puckered lips. She prefers one toy in each hand when she plays. Her eyes continue to be the most gorgeous shade of blue we have ever seen.

Lincoln is our buddy. He is a mover and is very close to crawling. The Linc-man can get up on all 4's and move his knees, he likes to chill in the 'plank' position and I have even come in his room and found him sitting up. Yep, he's ready to rock. Our boy has an adorable laugh. An adorable gut-busting laugh. He continues to want to play with whatever toy Lila has, Lila's hair, Lila's headbands and/or Lila's socks. His eyes are definitely changing, looking more brown every day.

Brian + I are enjoying the ride and blessed beyond words.

(I will post pics tomorrow.)

Oh, That Smile

Lila's open-mouth smile brightens every day. Open-mouth smiles must run in the family.
